Launch
Well, here I go launching a blog.
Blog. I kinda' dislike that "word". It sounds like a dog choking on a seagull or something. Despite this, here I go. This blog venture is ENTIRELY influenced by a blogger friend on which full blame may be placed if I get carried away with this---just look up the author of jetstream.
Since I am currently on the road and have no way to upload photos for now, I won't bother writing my first travel log--I want my log entries to have lots of photos. I have been away from my Denver home since September 19th. I should return home by October 19th--one full month of travel and adventure.
Currently, I'm staying at my aunt & uncle's lake property here on the Niagara Peninsula. Everything is lush green out here due to a very rainy late summer season. The leaves are just now beginning to change to Fall colors. It has been almost entirely sunny and blue-skied since I started this odyssey last month. I've been really fortunate.
Today is Canadian Thanksgiving. Some of my American associates tend to think: "now just what in hell do CANADIANS have to be thankful for!??!" Well let me tell YOU! Life is indeed sweet up where I'm at right now and I'm fully grateful to be here.
I'm looking forward to attending Oktoberfest events this coming Friday the 13th in Kitchener, Ontario. The Kim Mitchell Band will be featured that night--I like to call it "Mitch in Kitch". Then on Saturday the 21st I'll be in Calgary for another Oktoberfest gig: my friend's band "Forty-Five" will be playing.
Okay, enough for now. Back later with photos.
